CAMERATA JUNIOR – Friends of Music Youth Orchestra announces auditions for the selection of new members to the instruments:
Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
The Friends of Music Association is calling for auditions to fill out the Camerata Junior String Orchestra with additional members. The auditions will take place on June 23, 2022 at the Athens Concert Hall (from 12:00). Those interested are requested to submit a simple application electronically to the Secretariat of the Association [email protected] by June 20, stating the following information: Name, institution, telephone numbers, E-mails, date of birth, Conservatory / teacher, class / level of study.
Candidates will be personally informed of their attendance.
Listening repertoire
Children’s section (from 9 to 15 years old):
Candidates will be tested in two pieces of their choice (preferably accompanied by a pianist), of at least 3rd Lower level and in a prima vista reading. The pianists will be selected from the applicants.
Youth section
Candidates will be accompanied to the audition by their own pianist.
They will be considered in a prima vista reading and in addition:
Violin, Viola, Cello (from 15 to 25 years old)
In the first part of a concerto of their choice and in a virtuoso piece or exercise.
Double bass (up to 28 years): In a project of their choice.
