The choir of chanters “The Maestors of the Psaltic Art”, under the direction of Achilleas Chaldæakes, offer a creative approach to the hymnography of the services for the Feast of the Holy Fathers, while the painter George Kordis creates a live icon on stage, using digital technique with direct projection onto the hall’s screen. A standout moment of the concert is the official world premiere performance of the complete “Symbol of Faith” (Creed), set to music by Mark, Metropolitan of Corinth (first half of the 15th century) and transcribed by Konstantinos Nikolakopoulos: an exceptionally interesting and historically significant musical text, as it constitutes the chronologically first complete musical setting of the “Symbol of Faith” (Creed) within the Eastern ecclesiastical musical tradition.
