The product of the studies (article, book chapter, application development, etc.) should be offered for immediate use. | The Friends of Music Society is pleased to announce a new short-term fellowships programme that will be awarded to THREE (3) RESEARCHERS for conducting short-term research (up to two months) at the Greek Music Archive and the Collection of the Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri”.   • 19/04/2022 70 Years Friends of Music Association – 70 New Works in one eveningIn 2023, Friends of Music Association celebrates its 70 years of operation and wants to celebrate with the creators. It invites composers of all ages and levels to compose and send a one (1) minute piano miniature which, if selected, will be presented in a unique concert at the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall at the Athens Concert Hall. A total of 70 miniatures will be performed, as many as the years of operation of the Friends of Music Association. Composers should send the score in pdf format together with a midi audio file to [email protected] and fill in the declaration form which can be found here. Miniatures will be accepted until 30 September 2022 so that a selection of works can be made. In addition to the gala concert at Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall, the Friends of Music Association will arrange for the publication of the works in a comprehensive volume which will be made available free of charge by the Digital Library of the Lillian Voudouri Music Library. CALL FOR SCORES In 2023 the Friends of Music Society celebrates its 70th anniversary since its establishment and wants to celebrate this occasion with creators! This Call for Scores is directed to composers of any level or age, who are asked to compose a miniature for solo piano (duration: 1 minute) which if chosen, will be performed in a unique concert at Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall. In total, there will be 70 mimiatures that will be performed on the day, as many as the years of service of the Friends of Music Society. Composers will need to send a piano score in pdf form along with a midi file at [email protected] and fill in the form that they will find hereCompositions will be accepted until September 30th, 2022 in order to proceed with the selection of the miniatures. Besides the concert at Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, the Friends of Music Society will publish the collection of the selected piano scores, which will be freely available at the Digital Repository of the Music Library “Lilian Voudouri”.
